Senior Tax Manager
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a well-established company who offer audit, tax, consulting and financial advisory services, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Tax Manager for their expanding office in Nicosia.

Key Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Manage the tax function of and coordinate with international offices.
  • Identify potential tax risks that a client may face and advise clients on international tax struc-tures.
  • Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engage-ment and year-end reviews.
  • Responsible for planning and directing the work of a group of individuals, monitoring their work, and taking corrective action when necessary. 
  • Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, make sure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively.
  • Work closely with Directors and staff to integrate practice development skills into a team ap-proach to client service and new business development.
  • Oversee the efforts of multiple client engagements; plan, execute, direct, and complete tax assignments in a wide variety of industries and jurisdictions.
Key Skills / Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Economics or any other related field from a reputa-ble university
  •  ACA/ACCA qualified
  • Minimum 6 years of experience after qualification in a reputable audit firm
  • Excellent knowledge of the Cyprus tax legislation
  • Excellent knowledge of the provisions of Double Tax Treaties
  • Excellent knowledge of the EU tax directives and international tax developments
  • Able to study and understand the laws related to the direct taxation of Cyprus as well as other jurisdictions 
  • Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills 
  • Excellent use, both oral and written, of English language 
  • Strong personality with the ability to take initiative and identify solutions
  • Ability to manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.
