CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a global company operating in the Energy sector, we are seeking to recruit an experienced and knowledgeable IT Administrator to join their newly established offices in Limassol.
The role of IT Administrator will be to work in our clients’ expanding Development Centre, based in Limassol, Cyprus. You will be responsible for providing ongoing support to the wider business, in addition to liaising with their sister development centre based in Germany. Providing frontline support is a key component of the role, engaging with the wider business to ensure IT systems and processes run smoothly. The ideal candidate will be adept at working in a high pressured working environment, possess a positive attitude and a keen desire to explore new technologies.
Taking responsibility for the operation, planning, conception and documentation of the Networks.
Demonstrate the ability to recognise and analyse problems as and when they arise and initiate appropriate solutions.
Install and configure client/server hardware and software.
Act as a key point of contact for key stakeholders across the business.
Represent the administration area in cross-border solution teams.
Continually evaluate new technologies.
Administer network and security systems.
Monitor the IT infrastructure.
Develop skills through training and knowledge transfer.
Install/deployment and configuration of software.
Install new hardware servers, Hyper-V configurations.
Maintenance and Patch.
Install IT security tools.
Telephony and VOIP support.
Back Up – including off sites.
Distributed File Shares High Availability.
Educated to degree level in the Information Technology field.
Able to demonstrate a sound network know-how in routing / switching and security technologies with layer 2 and layer 3 technology.
Knowledge of the use of technical systems (DHCP, DNS, NAT, NFS, WDS, DFS, Hyper-V).
Understanding of Cisco network hardware.
Knowledge of the operating systems Windows and Linux.
Able to speak English to a good standard.
Highly motivated and able to work well under pressure in a busy and dynamic environment.
Excellent relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Thirst for knowledge – keen to develop and enhance technical IT skills and new technologies.
