Chief Financial Officer
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a Group of Companies operating in the Commercial Real Estate Sector, we are seeking to recruit an experienced and highly capable Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their expanding team of professionals.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Ability to supervise and manage the smooth operation of the Accounting Department.
  • Report to the General Manager.
  • Responsible for the preparation of Financial Statements under IFRS.
  • Preparation of financial reporting and monthly management accounts.
  • Preparation of quarterly and yearly closures.
  • Provide team support and supervision as well as training of new staff.
  • Ensure that proper financial procedures and systems are adhered to and maintained.
  • Responsible for the setup and ongoing monitoring of internal controls.
  • Preparation of Trial Budgets and Cash Flow management.
  • Coordinate and maintain a cash forecasting system to ensure that adequate funds are available to meet the working requirements. 
  • Conduct internal audits every three months.
  • Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
  • Develops, monitors and control the financial and tax procedures according to the Company’s plan with the goal of minimizing costs/taxes and maximizing profits.
  • Participate in key decisions as a member of the Executive Management team.
  • Provide analysis and reports as per company Management in a timely and accurate way.
  • Completion of Quarterly Profit and Loss re-forecasting, to report expected yearly revised outturn.
  • Oversee the issuance of financial information.
  • Report financial results to the Board of Directors.
  • Design and monitor the MIS framework to ensure the updated and valid information to the company management for decision making purposes.
  • Monitors budget and ensures that expenses do not exceed the budget of the company.
  • Have the responsibility to monitor and apply of internal and external auditors to decrease any risk factors Designs the credit policy of the company and monitors its efficient management of receipt/payments methods to succeed in decreasing the credit risk.
Key Skills/Experience:
  • Member of a recognized professional accounting body (ACA, ACCA, CPA).
  • At least 3 years’ of post qualified experience in a similar position preferably within an International company is essential.
  • Be knowledgeable with procedures in line with local and International Laws and regulations.
  • Experience of using Accountancy software.
  • Fluency in Greek & English (Written & Spoken).
  • Previous Leadership & Management experience.
  • Solid organisational skills; able to multi task, planning and managing various projects and activities.
  • Able to work on own initiative, decision maker with strong leadership skills.
